Very good overall

Does the job quite well. Sometimes the cutlery in the top rack are not cleaned fully and still have residue in them, usually spoons with egg residue. In terms of the middle and lower racks, it cleans very well. I have a pot with oil buildup on it that I couldn't clean no matter what, and it was able to clean it. Just make sure to use good quality detergents.

NOISE insulation

The insulation mat is on top and right side of the machine. However, there is no insulation mat on the left side of the machine. This siemens is listed as 42 db and our previous siemens was 44 dbdc...yet the new one makes more noise ??

Delivers robust cleaning results

Most important: Dishes, cutlery, and glasswear exit cleaned after wash cycle. (1) By comparison with competitor offerings: trays are of superior quality, and move in/out smoothly. (2) Appreciate the top level tray for thin items, and the ability to adapt the middle tray for differently sized items. (3) Small screen on front displays meaningful short information. (4) Quiet mode is sufficiently quiet that this does not disturb (could sleep or work nearby). (5) Blue light offers good visiblity without being overly bright. Areas for improvement: (1) Often humidity on glasswear after washing cycle. Remidied by enabling the dry mode option (obviously, yet this incurs additional energy usage when a more balanced approach would be desirable). (2) Physical touch controls seemingly overly complicated (usability friendliness improvement) (3) Mobile app works, yet richness of options leads to weakness in terms of intuitive usage (usability friendliness improvement) Remarks: (1) Devices does not project remaining time for the cycle onto the floor as indicated in publicity. (2) Feedback form does not allow pictures to be uploaded from MBP/Safari.
