Solution

Minerals in some water can be transferred onto the hob's surface and cause stains. Apply undiluted white vinegar with a soft, clean cloth. Then polish with Ceramic hob cleaner.

How do I clean my gas igniters on my gas hob?

Solution

Carefully wipe the igniter with a cotton swab dampened with water after the igniter has cooled down. Gently scrape soil off with a toothpick. Avoid exposing the igniters to excessive water as a damp igniter may not light up. Remove any lint that may remain after cleaning.

How do I clean stainless steel surfaces on my gas hob?

Solution

Wipe in the direction of the stainless steel grain when cleaning stainless steel. Use a mild, non-abrasive cleaning agent or stainless steel cleaner with a soft cloth. Wipe dry to avoid watermarks. Do not use cleaning materials that contain chlorine since it is corrosive to stainless steel. Warning: Some stainless steel cleaners are known to have negative effects on materials other than stainless steel. Make sure to apply stainless steel cleaner to stainless steel components only! Solution

Remove all pots, pans and utensils and turn off the cooktop. Remove the grates once they have cooled down. Grates are heavy so use care when handling them. Use a mild cleaning agent and hot water with a soft cloth. Rinse and dry. A stiff nylon toothbrush may be used to clean port openings. Be careful to not scratch or gouge the port openings. Do not use a toothpick to clean the port openings.

Solution

Remove all pots, pans and utensils and turn off the hob. Remove pan supports once they have cooled down. Pan supports are heavy so use care when handling them. Use hot, soapy water with a soft cloth, rinse and then dry. Non-abrasive cleaners, and liquid cleaners may also be used. Dry the burner cap thoroughly after cleaning. Do not soak burner caps.

Solution

Make sure your hob is cold before you start cleaning. Pour a small amount of cleaning fluid on the hob and use the cleaning cloth or kitchen paper to clean. Burnt-on food deposits can be removed carefully by using the glass scraper. Use the scraper at a shallow angle with smooth strokes and avoid stabbing or chipping at the surface. Remove all pots, pans and utensils and turn off the hob. Remove pan supports once they have cooled down. Pan supports are heavy so use care when handling them. Use a mild cleaner to clean the pan supports with a soft cloth, rinse and then dry. Blisters and chips on pan supports are common due to their exposure to extreme temperatures and rapid temperature changes. Acidic and sugar-laden spills deteriorate the enamel, so remove these spills as soon as safely possible. Abrasive cleaners can mar the pan supports. Do not clean pan supports in a self-cleaning oven.

How do I clean the porcelain surfaces on my gas hob?

Solution

Immediately wipe up acid spills like fruit juice, milk and tomatoes with a dry cloth. Do not use a moistened sponge or cloth on hot porcelain. When the oven is cool, clean it with hot, soapy water and a soft cloth, rinse and then dry. It is normal for porcelain to show fine lines with age due to exposure to heat and food.

How do I use E-cloths?

Solution

Dusting: Use the green cloth dry for dusting. The static will pick up the dust particles. Cleaning grease and dirt: Fold the green cloth and use damp to remove any grease and dirt. Glass cleaning and polishing: Lightly spray water on the blue cloth and wipe appliance with the cloth. Stainless steel: Wet the green cloth and wipe away any grease. Spray the surface with water and polish with the blue cloth. Always wipe in the direction of the grain. Always make sure your cloths are clean to avoid scratching surfaces. E-cloths (part # 00466148) can be purchased in the Bosch online accessories store.

How should I protect stainless steel surfaces from marking?

Solution

You can treat the surface with a tested and approved oil impregnated Conditioning Cloth (can be ordered from us) will assist fingerprint and mark resistance. Some people use baby oil or similar products on stainless steel. However, these products do not work as they attract dust and fluff, causing a residue to form. The same Conditioning Oil as in the cloths can be ordered in a bottle from us. It is food-safe and can be used on surfaces which are in contact with food.

How to remove grease from stainless steel surfaces?

Solution

Remove any deposits with our tested and approved Stainless Steel Cleaning Powder. This will remove dirt and spillages without damaging the surface. Make sure the powder is used on a damp cloth as a ‘paste’ and wipe along the grain of the metal. This product can be ordered from us.

What do I have to consider while cleaning my gas hob?

Solution

We recommend wiping away spills on a timely basis so that spills do not become hardened and difficult to remove. The entire hob can be safely cleaned when it is cooled down by wiping with a soapy sponge, rinsing and then drying. <br/>Warning: Do not use any cleaning agent while the surface is hot. The resulting fumes may be hazardous to your health and result in death or injury.<br/>

Which food deposits may be removed with a scraper while the ceramic or induction hob is hot?

Solution

Dry sugar, sugar syrup, milk, tomato spills, melted plastic film, foil. First, remove any cooking pans and utensils and turn off the hob. Wearing an oven mitt, hold scraper at a 30° angle, being careful to not gouge or scratch the glass. Use smooth, shallow movements - do not chip or stab the surface. Push the loosened deposits off the heated area with the scraper. After the hob surface has cooled, remove the loosened deposits and apply Ceramic hob cleaner.
