It is important to clean the brewing unit from time to time. To do this, remove the brewing unit, rinse it under running water, and put it back. Do not use detergent, soap, vinegar, or acid of any kind, and do not put it in the dishwasher.

The automatic calc’nClean program combines cleaning and descaling into one process. An intelligent cycle planner tells you exactly when maintenance is needed. Many removable parts are dishwasher-safe so you can focus on enjoying your coffee. To ensure great taste and support a longer lifespan, simply remove the brewing unit, rinse it under running water, and replace it.

With autoMilk Clean you can automatically steam-clean the milk system after every milk drink, ensuring lasting freshness and hygiene. For deeper cleaning, the entire milk system, including the milk pipe, can be cleaned at the touch of a button. Directly on the touch screen, without extra steps. The process removes milk residue to ensure a high level of hygiene for your well-being and the enjoyment of every cup of coffee.

How coarse or fine the grind is has a big impact on the flavour of your coffee. Our high-performance ceramic grinder allows you to fine-tune the grind to match your coffee roast with 6 settings ranging from coarse for dark roasts and medium for a balanced flavour (default) to fine for light roasts. To adjust, use the rotary knob at the top of the machine while it’s running to avoid damage.

Using a water filter enhances the flavour of your coffee, delivering a rich and full-bodied taste. It also helps minimise the frequency of descaling. Some models come with a water filter included. You can explore a selection of recommended filters in the Siemens Online Shop (opens in a new window).
