How to improve the results of your Siemens tumble dryer?

Unsatisfied with drying results? Is the laundry not drying properly, or are your clothes creased? Check the below guide on how to improve the results of your tumble dryer.

Problem Reason Solution
Laundry is not drying properly. During drying, fluff and hair from the laundry is trapped by the fluff filter. If the fluff filter is blocked or dirty, this reduces the flow of air, which prevents the dryer from achieving its maximum performance. Clean fluff filters also reduce energy consumption and the drying time. Clean the fluff filter after each drying cycle.

Laundry is still too damp. There may be several other reasons:

After the programme has ended, warm laundry feels damper than it actually is.

If you have exceeded the maximum load for the programme, the laundry may not be dried properly.

The sensor may be covered in a fine layer of limescale, detergent or product residue, which then impairs its performance. This prevents your laundry from being dried properly.

The drying time was too short or the dryness level is set too damp. If clothes are still wet after using the dryer, you should work on fine-tuning the dryness level.

Spread the laundry out and allow the heat to disperse. That allows residual moisture to escape quickly.

Always make sure, that you do not exceed the maximum load of your dryer. The programme table in your user manual contains all information about the maximum load.

Clean the moisture sensor in the drum. Please check the user manual on how to clean the sensor in the drum.

You can easily choose a programme with a longer drying time or increase the dryness level. This simple method extends either the drying time or increases the dryness level but does not increase the temperature. The result: Your laundry will become drier.

All the required information can be found in the programme table in your user manual.

Drying has stopped as a result of a power cut in the middle of a drying session. Condensation will form in the appliance as it dries the laundry.
If there is no drain hose connected to the appliance, the condensation water from the appliance will run into the condensate container. If the container is not emptied regularly, the dryer will turn off automatically as soon as the condensate container is full.
In this case, you will need to empty the condensate container each time the dryer finishes a cycle, and also if it becomes full before drying is complete.

How to empty the condensate container
Dryer needs more time for drying The filter in the condensate container cleans the condensation water that is used during the dryer's automatic cleaning cycle. When the filter gets dirty, the dryer needs more time for drying. Clean the filter in the condensate container.

Creased clothes

Wrinkled clothes do not leave a well-kept impression. Laundry which comes wrinkled directly out of the dryer is especially annoying since it means you have to iron it.
Creasing occurs especially when you have exceeded the maximum load or selected the wrong programme for the type of fabric.

If the laundry remains in the dryer for a long time, wrinkles may be the consequence.
Always make sure that you do not exceed the maximum load capacity and choose the right drying-programme. This will help to get crease-free clothes without ironing.

All the required information in detail can be found in the programme table in your user manual.
