Cleaning your EQ.500 coffee machine.

Note:

  • Before cleaning the appliance, pull out the mains plug. Never immerse the appliance in water.
  • The appliance will rinse itself automatically if you switch it on when it is cold or switch it off after it has dispensed coffee.
  • If the appliance is cold when switched on or if it is switched off after dispensing coffee, it rinses automatically. The system is therefore self-cleaning.
  • If the appliance has not been used for a prolonged period of time (e.g. while you are on holiday), clean the entire appliance thoroughly, including the coffee outlet, water tank, milk system, brewing unit and trays.

Step-by-step: cleaning the milk system.

Please allow the hot milk system to cool down before touching it.

Remove milk container & outlet system:

1. Remove the milk container from the appliance.

2. Slide the outlet system right down – do not put the cover of the outlet system in the dishwasher.

Remove milk system:

3. Hold the bottom of the cover and remove the milk tube.

4. Pull the white adapter and the milk systems forwards and out.

Cleaning milk system components:

5. Dismantle the milk system into its components.

6. Clean the components with detergent solution and a soft cloth.

Rinse and dry the components:

7. Rinse, dry & assemble milk system components.

Reinserting the milk system:

8. Slide the outlet system right down.

9. Slide the white adapter in on the left and insert the milk system into the appliance from the front, making sure it’s straight.

Finishing the process:

10. Fasten the cover at the top and swivel it downwards - the cover will click into place.

11. Slide the outlet system all the way up.

12. Clean and insert the milk container.

Step-by-step: cleaning the milk container.

For hygiene reasons, clean the milk container regularly. You can clean the milk container in the dishwasher.

1. Remove the milk container.

2. Take off the lid.

3. First remove the milk tube. Than dismantle and clean all the milk container´s components.
