EQ.6 plus provides dedicated service programms to support the cleaning and maintenance process of your Siemens EQ.6 plus coffee machine.

The appliance will notify you with one of the following notifactions if a service programm should be started:

  • Descaling necessary or
  • Cleaning necessary or
  • Calc’n Clean necessary

The unit should immediately be cleaned or descaled using the appropriate programme. The two processes Descale and Clean can optionally be carried out together using the Calc’n Clean function.

Follow the explanation if a service programme is mentioned on the display.

EQ.6 plus coffee machine: general deep cleaning.

You need about 9 minutes to run the service programm „cleaning“. The line at the bottom of the display indicates the progress of the descaling process.

  • Touch to open the menu.
  • Use to choose Cleaning and care and touch to confirm your choice.
  • Use to choose Clean and touch to confirm your choice.
  • Touch [start/stop] to begin running the programme.

The display will indicate the progress of the programme:

  • Empty and re-insert the drip tray.
  • Open the ground coffee drawer.
  • Drop one Siemens cleaning tablet in the drawer and close it.

  • Touch [start/stop].

The cleaning programme will now run for about 7 minutes.

  • Empty and re-insert the drip tray

The appliance has finished cleaning and is ready for use again.

Accessories.

The following accessories are available from retailers or from customer service:

Cleaning tablets.

  • Suitable for automatic coffee machines and thermo flasks.
  • Contents: 10 tablets, sufficient for 10 treatments.
  • Removes coffee grease and residue powerfully, fast and reliably.
  • Helps to improve the lifetime and performance of the appliance.

Descaling tablets.

  • Removes limescale to protect your appliance from harmful deposits.
  • Could help to improve lifetime and performance of your appliance.
  • 3 x tablets per pack, sufficient for 3 treatments.
  • Easy to dose, only one 36g tablet.

Cleaning and care set for fully automatic coffee machines.

  • Contents: 10 cleaning tablets, 3 descaling tablets (36g), 1 water filter cartridge, 1 cleaning brush.
  • The descaling tablets remove limescale, the cleaning tablets remove any residues or clogging caused by coffee grease powerfully, fast and reliably.
  • Both tablets are easy to dose - one tablet per use.
  • The tablets can extend the lifetime and improve the performance of your appliance.
  • Tested and approved for our appliances.
