Dishwasher is not turning on

If your Siemens dishwasher won’t switch on or start, here are a few things to check yourself before calling a technician. Follow the steps below to repair your dishwasher and get it working again.

No power going to the dishwasher.

If there are no lights displaying on the dishwasher, please check the mains connection.

1. Check mains connection of the dishwasher.
Please check the connection of the mains cable: is it correctly and fully inserted in the dishwasher? Please check the connection at the back of your dishwasher. Please ensure that the cable plug is correct inserted to the socket.

2. Check socket.
If this has been established, check that the socket is providing power by plugging in another electrical product into the socket, for example a lamp. If the socket doesn’t work, insert the dishwasher plug into the socket next to it, if you have a double socket, and try again. Check whether the residual-current-operated circuit-breaker (FI) or the domestic fuse for the electric circuit has tripped. Mains fuse and residual-current-operated circuit-breaker (FI) are for your safety and respond if there has been an overload or short-circuit in the electric circuit. Check whether other appliances in the electric circuit have caused an overload.
If necessary, contact an electrician.

Dishwasher has power and lights on display.

1. Check the door.
If there are light displayed, please check that the door is closed. Maybe door lock is snapped over, please close door with increase force. An open door will prevent your dishwasher from starting.

2. Check the water inlet.
