Tips for saving energy
Siemens is one of the leading manufacturers of efficient household appliances. In recent years, the energy consumption of Siemens dishwashers has been reduced by up to 50 percent.
You can save even more energy when washing dishes with the following tips:
- Do not pre-rinse dirty dishes under running water, but remove only the large food remnants.
- Always load your dishwasher so that the water reaches all surfaces.
- A full load translates into full energy efficiency.
Dishwashers are worthwhile
For optimal washing and drying.
Because the Siemens dishwashers are as quiet it is sometimes difficult to know when the cycle has finished. However, on certain models Siemens has developed an infoLight. A red light that shines on your kitchen floor when running but goes out when the washing and drying cycle is over.
The quick overview. On your floor.
With the innovative timeLight function, you can see at all times which programme is currently running in your fully integrated Siemens dishwasher. timeLight alternately projects all programme information, such as remeining time in minutes and programme status on your kitchen floor. So you are always well informed.
Light show for your dishes: emotionLight.
Two LEDs at the top of the door frame bathe the interior of the dishwasher and the dishes in cool blue or white light. The light switches on automatically when the door is opened and off again when it is closed.
For the development of Siemens dishwashers, the latest findings from sound technology were used to keep the volume to a minimum. Thanks to special sound insulation and a new type of pump, Siemens dishwashers are extremely quiet. They are ideally suited for use in open kitchens and can be used both during the day and at night. For comparison: The quietest Siemens dishwashers are quieter than many computers, and considerably quieter than a rainstorm.
Activation of the intensiveZone in any programme provides more spray pressure in the bottom rack for heavily soiled dishes. The spray pressure is not increased in the top rack. Fragile glasses in the top rack can thus be washed at the same time as heavily soiled pots and pans in the bottom rack.
The hygienePlus function is ideal for cleaning containers and utensils for which optimal hygiene is particularly important, such as baby bottles and cutting boards. During the final rinse, the temperature is kept at a high level of 70°C on average for approx. ten minutes. If this function is used regularly, up to 99.99% of all bacteria and germs are eliminated in the process.
