Designed to meet your highest cleaning standards
All our dishwashers achieve high germ-reduction results in order to meet your highest hygiene standards, when cleaning household dishes. They achieve up to 99.999% germ-reduction [1] – this applies to all Siemens dishwashers in the Eco 50°C programme. Additionally, all our appliances are equipped with an Intensive 70°C programme that reaches a temperature of 70°C during the washing cycle, for several minutes – which also achieves the same germ-reduction, making you feel safer and protected!

Choose hot temperature programmes
In intense dishwasher cycles, water is heated to high temperatures over 65°C. This kills lingering germs, leaving your cutlery, dishes and glasses ultra clean and ready to use again.
Dishwashing detergents not only have a cleaning function, but also attack virus surfaces and can inactivate viruses. This is particularly true when cleaning and drying in a dishwasher at a high temperature of 60°C or higher. [2] Selected appliances are equipped with a Hygiene or HygienePlus option, and can reach high temperatures of more than 70°C, that are maintained for at least ten minutes. This option can be added to most programmes – its increased rinsing temperature is ideal for antibacterial cleaning. [3]
Use the right amount of detergent
The hotter the water and stronger the detergent, the more sanitary your results will be. For spotless results, put the right dosage of detergent in relation to the amount of water being used.

Clean your dishwasher regularly
Make sure that the dishwasher interior and the filter system are always in proper condition.
We recommend regularly running the Machine Care programme, available in all our current appliances. [4]
- Every 1-2 months. Use Siemens Dishwasher Care to clean grease and food deposits or the machine care programme.
- Every 4-6 months. Use Siemens Dishwasher Maintenance Cleaning Powder for tough grease, starch and protein residues.
- Once a year. Use our descaler to remove harmful limescale deposits from your dishwasher. It’s also suitable for our washing machines.
Don’t forget to descale
To keep your dishwasher running as efficiently and effectively as possible, descale regularly. This is important in order to prevent limescale build-up – the perfect, fertile ground for bacteria. The rougher the surfaces inside your dishwasher, the more places there are for bacteria to breed. Use descaler and make sure that the water hardness and softness is set, measured and adjusted constantly to get those spotless sparkling dishes, every time.
