Faster, easier, cleaner

Finished cooking? The self-cleaning feature leaves your Siemens oven effortlessly clean and sparkling.

How does a self cleaning oven work?

Never scrub again. The activeClean, self-cleaning feature on the Siemens pyrolytic oven uses intense heat to burn off the dirt residue and grease left after cooking. Once the cleaning program is complete, just a simple wipe of the floor of the oven is needed to remove the ash and dirt residue, leaving the oven clean.

Heat vs Water: Which self-cleaning program is ideal for you?

activeClean: Self-cleaning through heat

Burn away dirt and grease, even in the hard-to-reach places, with activeClean in your Siemens pyrolytic oven. At the touch of a button the pyrolysis process uses high temperatures to burn away leftover residue, fat spatter and grease into ash that can easily be cleaned from the floor of the oven.

humidClean: Self-cleaning through water

For those who want a more traditional cleaning process, humidClean helps to soften stubborn dirt saving hours of scrubbing. humidClean uses a combination of water, detergent, evaporation, and condensation to shift hard-to-clean grease, burnt on food, and fat spatter making it the perfect solution for that in-between clean.

Designed to be clean

Siemens’ self-cleaning ovens are packed with features designed to help keep them clean. From surface coatings that disintegrate dirt to a glass door and rails designed to reduce spills, Siemens ovens are all about keeping clean.

Coated Backwall: Stop dirt build up

Coated backwall is a special coating that disintegrates dirt from oil and grease. It begins working from the start of roasting, grilling or baking. What's more, the coated backwall material automatically regenerates every time you heat it – throughout the life of the appliance. Now it's even easier to keep your oven clean.

Fewer spills means less to cleanMost cooking chamber spills happen when putting food in, or taking it out of the oven. The pyrolysis resistant telescopic rails use an integrated stop function on both sides of the telescopic extensions to prevent slipping when putting baking trays and grill pans back in the oven.

Intelligent self-cleaning technology

Siemens introduced automatic self-cleaning oven technology in 1972 and continues to develop innovative cooking solutions. At the touch of a button, activeClean® automatically cleans the oven without the need for added cleaning chemicals. During the cleaning cycle, high temperatures reduce baked-on food residues and grease to ash, which can be simply wiped away once the cycle is complete.
