Grease filtersOur grease filters ensure highly efficient grease capture, even during intensive cooking or frying with large amounts of oil. Once the filters become saturated, cleaning is effortless – simply remove them and place them in the dishwasher. The filters are included as standard with our extractor hoods and feature up to 17 mesh layers, depending on the model.

Exhaust or recirculation air operation?

Exhaust air modeExhaust air mode (ducted): this mode is just as effective as recirculation in removing odours and grease, with the added benefit of extracting steam completely. Cooking vapours are transported out of the building through ducting and replaced with fresh air from outside. For operation in exhaust air mode, the integrated grease filters are fully sufficient. Please note: this operating mode may not be suitable for low-energy or passive-style homes.

Recirculation modeRecirculation mode (duct-free): in recirculation operation, cooking vapours are extracted and filtered to remove odours and grease before the purified air is returned to the kitchen. In addition to the grease filters, a Recirculation kit including our Long-life Clean Air activated carbon filter is required for this mode. As no external air outlet is needed, heated or airconditioned air remains inside the living space. And without the need for additional ducting, installation is simple and convenient

Our Long-Life Clean Air Filter for Recirculation​

Designed for Siemens cooker hoods, the Long-Life Clean Air Filter features premiumactivated carbon with a large inner surface area that effectively absorbs fine greaseparticles and even strong cooking odours.​

Optimised for excellent airflow performance, it supports efficient extraction while helpingto keep noise levels low, creating a calm, fresh and comfortable kitchen environment.​

Another advantage is its refresh function, which gives the filter a lifespan of up to fouryears. For recirculation operation, a recirculation kit including the filter is required. Pleasefind further information below.​

A breath of fresh air

Its precisely balanced amount of activated carbon efficiently absorbs even intensecooking odours, including strong smells such as fried fish.​

An additional biofunctional layer captures pollen and helps deactivate allergens – makingit ideal for households with allergy-sensitive occupants. Another advantage is its longservice life: the filter needs to be replaced far less frequently than disposable filters,which have an average lifespan of 12 months.​

The filter can be regenerated in your oven up to three times, approximately every 12months, ensuring long-lasting performance and added convenience.​
