Rich in texture and flavour, the Cappuccino dates back hundreds of years and is named after the brown-coloured cappuccio hoods worn by Italian Franciscan monks. Today, the Cappuccino is a permanent fixture in café culture, and is popular right around the world.

How to make it.
The Cappuccino usually consists of a single Espresso shot, combined with milk and frothed milk foam in equal proportions. The Espresso and steamed milk are mixed, and the frothed milk foam is delicately added, creating a thick layer. For a rich, velvet-like Cappuccino, use whole milk.

How to serve.
Traditionally in Italy, a Cappuccino is served in a pre-heated, bowl-shaped, porcelain cup. The ideal Cappuccino cup has an elliptical, thicker bottom to retain heat. Choosing the right cup will enhance your Cappuccino experience.
