Great coffee machine overall, but a few things need improving

The Siemens EQ900 iAroma is an impressive coffee machine with plenty of drink options, but my experience started with some confusion. The box showed pictures of different coffee machines, so at first I was not completely sure which model was inside. It was also delivered in its original retail box, clearly revealing the product. Considering how expensive the machine is, I think it should be placed inside a plain secondary box for better protection and privacy. Unfortunately, the box arrived damaged and the impact caused a crack in the lid of the coffee-bean compartment. I am glad it was only relatively minor damage and the machine itself still works, but it was disappointing. I was also surprised that not even one water filter was included. For a coffee machine in this price range, I would expect at least one filter to be supplied so it can be used properly from the beginning. The machine is quite large, so it needs a good amount of space. I really like that the water tank is hidden inside the machine rather than sitting visibly on the outside. It also holds a generous amount of water. The bean compartment is a decent size too, although the protective grid makes filling it slightly awkward because some of the beans can bounce back out. The drip tray is large and easy to remove and clean, but the used coffee grounds somehow become mixed with the water inside it. This makes it messy and difficult to empty properly. I normally have to scoop out as much as possible with a spoon before rinsing the rest under the tap. The height of the coffee nozzle can be adjusted, which is very useful. However, when using larger cups or glasses, I sometimes have to remove the drip-tray grill completely to make them fit. One of the best things about this machine is the large variety of coffee drinks and recipes available. You can adjust the strength, cup size, milk ratio, grinding level, brewing temperature and how long the coffee is in contact with the water. This gives you a lot of control over each drink and makes it easy to prepare coffee according to your personal taste. There are still a couple of things that disappoint me during brewing. The machine releases some water before preparing the milk or coffee. It is not a huge amount, but it can still dilute the drink when it goes directly into the same cup. The milk also tends to splash around when it first starts dispensing, which can make the surrounding area messy. I like that the machine connects to a phone and allows you to prepare a favourite drink with the push of a button, although I have not fully tested this feature yet. You can also create individual profiles and save favourite drinks. The large touchscreen is another useful addition, especially because it provides clear, step-by-step instructions whenever something needs cleaning, refilling or changing. I was also pleasantly surprised by the noise level. For a fully automatic coffee machine with a built-in grinder, it is reasonably quiet and not as loud as I expected. Overall, this is a very capable coffee machine with a wide range of drinks and plenty of customisation. I enjoy using it, but considering its premium price, the packaging, missing water filter, messy drip tray, pre-brewing water and milk splashing could all be improved.

Greatest coffee ever

Great coffee! The setup is so easy and quick todo. Love that you can take the milk tray out and store in the fridge until needed again. Duarable design with a lovely shiny finish. Brews all different types of coffee in no time. Love that you can also make hot chocolate with the warm milk dispenser. Holds a lot of water and milk so no need to fill constantly

I’m not tech savvy at all, and was tad worried setting it all up, however, I found it really easy, the screen is self explanatory for all needs, I didn’t like the strong coffee so touched the screen and I adjusted everything to meet my needs, you can do so much, so many different drinks !! It also self cleans before and when it goes off, so perfect for vegans and cross contamination, I’m really impressed with machine and am looking forward to finding out what else I can do ! And different drinks

This machine is so good it is high performance and performing great materials used to make this look high end quality it makes lovely drinks and connects to WiFi consistent with great coffee and heats the drinks perfectly highly recommend to all my family and friends

My daily cafe at home

This coffee machine has completely transformed my coffee routine. The coffee is rich, smooth, and full of flavour. I love how easy it is to tailor each drink to my liking. The touchscreen is easy to use, and the machine feels premium and well built. The milk frother produces creamy cappuccinos and lattes. It also has automatic cleaning functions. You can customise your coffee from drink strength, temperature, milk ratio, and cup size. There is a dual bean hopper for using two different types of beans. This fantastic machine can also be connected to the Home Connect app for remote control and saving your favourite type of coffee, which is so convenient and techy. Overall, this machine is an outstanding bean to cup machine that produces exceptional coffee.

Best coffee EVER

If you like coffee this is the only one you should buy ! So many coffee options to chose from, I can make a range of drinks at a touch of a button ! It’s expensive for a coffee machine but I think it’s worth it. Best bit - you can detach the milk holder and pop in the fridge, it also cleans it self. Only thing I don’t like is that the app can start making a coffee but the machine auto rinses before starting so you can’t leave a coffee cup ready.
